The Killers Kick It Into High Gear at iHeartRadio's ALTer EGO

Fresh off the release of their new politically charged single “Land of the Free,” The Killers hit the stage at iHeartRadio's ALTer EGO at The Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 19.

Frontman Brandon Flowers as always revved up the crowd, performing "The Man," "Mr. Brightside," "Somebody Told Me," "Human," "Space Man," "All These Things I've Done," "Read My Mind," and "When You Were Young." The epic second annual alt-rock show also included performances by Bishop Briggs, twenty one pilots, Muse, Weezer, Rise Against and The Revivalists.

"In a perfect world, I could see the end of the year having something,” Flowers teased when asked about a sixth album during a recent interview. “But I think it’s probably, it’s looking more likely that it would be early 2020.”

The Las Vegas-based band, who enlisted the crowd during their 40-minute set, might also be adding a new sound to the mix.

“I’m constantly messing around with things and I see a lot online with people who are working with experimental sounds – with either electronic synthesisers and things like that or even a straight-out jazz record,” drummer Ronnie Vanucci Jr also shared. “There’s a lot of great stuff going on underneath our feet and maybe the pop world will finally catch up to it 20 or 30 years later. I’d like to sort of tap into it a little bit. I don’t want to totally lose anybody but there’s still a lot to be discovered and I think keeping with the tradition of always trying something new with a record might be something for us to look into.”
