There are times where you should be able to let your dog be unleashed and roam around. And then there are times, like this, where you need to control your damn dog.
The A.P. reported earlier this week that a group that keeps an eye on the wild horses on the North Carolina coast says free roaming dogs have become a threat.
Meg Puckett, herd manager of the Corolla Wild Horse Fund, says tourists are leaving their pets unleashed, and those pets are chasing and even biting the horses. Puckett said there have been three incident reports in the last week of dogs "chasing and harassing the horses."
If you're a dog owner and you're planning a trip for the OBX this year, please PLEASE either keep your dog on a leash and don't bother the horses.
